MICHAEL CAVALIERE
DPT, OCS, CSCS
Michael Cavaliere is a staff physical therapist at North Hills Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapy. He obtained his undergraduate degree in kinesiology from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in 2012. He earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from MGH Institute of Health Professions in 2015. He has been a certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association since 2019. In 2021, he became an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) via the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. In 2023, he was selected by the Specialization Academy of Content Experts to be an item writer for the OCS examination.
Prior to coming to North Hills Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapy, Michael worked at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) in orthopedic and sports Physical Therapy. He worked directly with MGH’s foot and ankle orthopedic surgeons to develop protocols for this special population group.
Michael’s clinical interests include foot and ankle biomechanics, post operative shoulder rehabilitation, spine rehabilitation, and physical training to return to sport.
Michael is a former competitive powerlifter/body builder and an expert in resistance training. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, weight lifting, spending time with his girlfriend, family, and dog. He is an active member of The American Physical Therapy and National Strength and Conditioning Associations.
